What can I do to minimize skin sagging while losing weight? I'm 65 lbs down and about 90 more to go. Any thoughts on Spanx or certain creams? TIA

I'm down almost 185lbs and wanna lose 30lbs more. I'm at 165 lbs and was at 350lbs as my highest. My skin isn't the worst but not the best. I'm still trying to figure out how to help the skin. Other than working out and trying to tone up as much as possible I'm wondering about creams and whatnot too... hopefully I'll find something to help. My belly arms and thighs definitely need some help.... maybe get a 360 body lift in the near future.....

Hydrate your body, moisturize your skin, take your Vitamins, and lift weights. Heavy weights.

There was a brief discussion here. It seems people are doing a variety of things. I have a few pairs of compression yoga pants and tops that I have gotten from Lane Bryant and Old Navy. They hold me in for day to day activities. I also have a few body shapers that I wear when I am dress in regular clothes. It's early days yet so I am trying to exercise in the hopes that some of it snaps back. Looking at what's occurring now. I may end up with excess skin on my thighs. I'm not overly concerned, just taking note and doing what I can to minimize it as much as possible.

I am 66 pounds down and I am doing this: I bought exfoliating gloves at Walgreens. Every other shower I exfoliate and when I am dried off I rub almond oil or whatever moistuizing lotion I have all over my skin. My understanding is that since skin is a living breathing organ it will renew itself as old skin cells are sloughed off. I don't know yet how much it is helping, but my skin is a soft as a baby's.

At this point I am 14 pounds from goal and am using year two to focus on strength training. My insurance will pay for a panni, but not until two years post-op. Strong muscles will help fill out some of the slack, but I will still need that panni I think. I dont know if all this will really help, but it doesn't hurt.

I've lost about 60 pds and I'm worried about the loose skin too. I've been doing dry brushing and using Firm and Restore from Avan and there body wash. Exercising and starting now to lift weights. I had surger on Sept 10, 2014.

Hydrate, moisturize and lift weights. Also, genetics and how long you were big is going to play into things. I'm 37 and my skin is just not bouncing back like it did when I was 27. For the most part I've spent my whole life obese, so I don't have high hopes for bounce back.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
