Yes, that was what I wanted most. I'm three months out also and can eat salad no problem. But only 3-4 bites of it.

I've been dreaming about a salad since week 2 post op. I used to make glorious salads. I LOVED salads. I'd start with a head of romaine lettuce or 2 -3 cups of mixed baby greens. Then add 1 chopped up hardboiled egg, a ¼cup of black Beans or chickpeas, 6 grape tomatoes cut in half, 1/8 cup of dried cranberries a dill pickle spear and ¼ - ½ of an avocado. I''d season with a dash of garlic powder and then a splash of pickle juice and olive oil for the dressing.

I couldn't eat ¼ of that now. I've made lettuce wraps but even though I'm nearly 3 months out I prefer to use my precious tummy space on getting in my Protein and Water.

I'm only 2.5 weeks out and I think " am I ever going to have raw veggies again??"

On my pre op diet that's all I ate lol

But now, I'm not sure if we're allowed?

It's not encouraged because your body has to work harder to process all that roughage and it can be uncomfortable on a healing tummy. I can eat small amounts of cooked veg and I've had a few pieces of lettuce, but no where near the amount of raw and cooked veg I used to eat.

Just remember every doctor and NUT has their own recommendations. I love my salads and they digest perfectly for me. I add my Protein to it. I'm 10 weeks out. My guy is perfectly happy with my balance. No one thing seems the same for everyone - talk to your medical team ❤️

I think part of my issue is missing my giant salad. The sleeve size one just looks sad in comparison

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
