Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

For a bunch of bike geeks we talk far too much about being aroused.

I'm just saying.....

My WOW chicas are doing a 30 mile ride on Saturday. I got the sitter lined up. I'm stoked.

And to be completely bipolar I just want to say the GF and I are misfiring and it's annoying. Typically this gets better when we see each other and that's been post poned to sometime in the middle of September. We were going to be together Labor Day, but she's got to take care of stuff at her mother's house instead of coming here and I've got to stay in town... It's not horrible, but I'm annoyed. I might even get pouty.

B, I sure hope Grumpy is getting better.

The total excruciating pain has set in on my left foot and hamstring. I am going to medicate and call it a night.

J, JC - Thanks! She seems to be doing a little better. Last trip to the vet's she got some IV antibiotics along with fluids, and she seems to be feeling better - she's been sleeping in the same position for the last three hours and not acting like she's in pain. I just hate that she's sick & not much that I can do, and that I can't maker her understand what's going on. The poor wife hasn't had much sleep, and has been having to clean up after her since yesterday afternoon. Wish I could help, but can't pick up the dog or bend/squat to help.

J - Glad you have a ride with the Chicas set up. Hope it should be fun. Sorry to hear that you won't be able to spend the holiday weekend with your GF...

JC - Hope that hamstring feels better. Be careful, you don't want to me a "Gimpy Mach 3 Ninja Bitch Bad Ass"

J, haven't sacked yet waiting for ibuprofren to kick in. Thanks for avice on ice. It's pulled enough to be annoying, I don't think it's real bad. I was thinking of doing a 20-25 miler Sat. before son's weight lifting competition. He said he is going for a state record dead lift and world record curl. I don't want to miss that. I wonder what drives him to extremes like that?

THank you, thank you, thank you to BG who likes cream in her panties!!! I love my bike too!!! If you fly me over there for the ride, I might let you look at it in person too!!!!!

Sorry about your sick dog. Speaking of sick dogs, has anyone ever seen the skin on the outside of a dogs penis turn itself inside of itself??? The actual penis( red part) is stuck outside of the covering. Now I know you all are going to have fun with this, but I am serious. My chihahau(sp) has had this happen twice now in two days!!! It is sad and looks like it is sooo painful. Of course, I have to work the penis back inside of the skin and get it all turned back out. Yeah, I know, gross. Just thought I would see if anyone else has ever seen this happen.

JC, don't over due too much. You don't want to put too much stress on yourself. The walking and running, but stadiums??? come on you freak!!!!

HP, yes the Water bottles and cages, (cages were 15.00 each) came with the bike. The guy said we had already bought bikes from them this year so he would throw them in. My DH got his bike too and got the water bottles and 15.00 cages!!!! LOL...and no, we don't have clipless. We figured we should learn how to ride the bikes first, but we have the baskets to put your shoes in. We are going to get shoes and clipless pedals as soon as possible. We know how to ride the bikes now, I think. We haven't crashed yet, but I did scratch the holy living mother effing hell out of mine already. It fell and slid down a t-post that I had leaned it up against. Ripped the one side of the grip tape all to hell and scratch the paint. Yeah, I was pissed, but am over it now.

J sorry about the girlfriend thing. I hope you get to see her soon.

JC only you would say that you are in axcruciating pain and follow it up with it's not that bad nly mildly annoying. Beast i tell you, Beast.

D I have seen that happen to my parents dog. I am not quite sure how to tell you this but I am 99% sure your dog has a boner.

D, what are you trying to do to me? I probably have 4 pages worth of comments on that poor little doggies plight. I Must remain strong!

BG, you little badass I have this image of you just humming a little tune while drop kicking somone's ass. The pain is only excruciating when I move the leg otherwise it's just kinda throbbing a bit. It should loosen up when I get going on the stationary. It seems to have moved to my achilies tendon. Headed up state to the "sticks" eh?

Yep. Going to the UP (that short for upper penninsula not full word up opposite of down) is like going to another country eh? I am going to see my Aunt and Grandma and cousins so I am excited. I only see them a few times a year.

I keep having this hilarious mental pic of D giving her pup a hand job.

D I love you. The first time I saw that it kind of freaked me out too. It's like a regular thing around the house though. Every other day I hear my Dad say "Buddy put away that boneyard" lol

BG, D is trying to kill me! I bet that little dog loves her!

That is a righteous way to earn ISS.

The good ol Upper Penninsua. I've spent a little time on the other side of the bridge up there in North East WhiskeyConsin! Reminds me, I haven't had any string cheese or curds in a while.

Yummy string cheese.< /p>

I have a good recipe for cheese sticks using stringy cheese.

Speaking of good recipes I made some delish chicken last night.

1 c of parmasean cheese mixed with 1 dry packet of italian dressing

dip chicken in eggbeaters and roll around in the parm cheese mixture (the chicken not yourself)

bake at 400 for 25 minutes or until cook through, put broiler on for the last 5 minutes or so

Holy yummy yumminess.

I should have read the whole recipe first. Now I gotta figure out how to get this parm off of me! LOL

Maybe, I can find a cheese freak neighbor!

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
