What? a normal BMI..What is normal to you?

5 months out and today I woke up to a normal BMI. I have no idea how to take this yet. I don't remember a time when my weight was ever normal. When I look at myself I still don't see normal..I see my therapist next month. Ohhhh we have some work to do on this.

It's nice to be "normal". My BMI number says I am "merely" overweight. But to me it's just a number. I prefer to go by how I look and feel about myself. I've been allowing myself to be judged by someone else's standards for far too long.

Jenn1.... I so want to be where you are in five months!!! You should be so incredibly proud of yourself. First for making the decision to have W LS and then obviously sticking through it to be at the point you are now. Thank you so much for sharing your update. My surgery is this Friday for the sleeve and this is just one more post that gives me hope.

CONGRATS!!!!!!

I do understand that. I have been judged and have judged myself for a long time about my weight. Going by how you look and feel. I feel amazing. Life is good! I just don't see it in the mirror yet. Funny how distorted I am about my body. Oh yes bring on the therapy!
