Congratulations Ruby!!! Great Hubby!!

Karri - I'm with you. Can't relate to wanting them. I have to make an appointment in Jan. to see about getting a reduction this summer. I'm a walking tit factory. When I walk in a room, you see em 2 minutes before you actually see me. I find the more weight I lose the more they are starting to hurt my back and shoulders, it's wierd.

Ruby--That guy's a keeper. What a sweet story! I'm happy for you both.

I don't know how this happened: I weigh-in every Friday morning. Last friday was the day after Thanksgiving, so I probably weighed more b/c of that, but I still lost a pound or so. I had a tooth pulled after that, so I didn't eat anything that day and only liquids the day after. Since then, I've been eating only soft foods, but I have been eating. So this morning I weighed in again. I had to weigh myself twice because I could not believe that I lost 8 1/2 pounds in one week! What a wonderful surprise that was! So here I am. Only ounces away from Onederland!!! I was hoping to be there by Jan 2. Looks like I'll be a little early!! I have to go to a retirement party tonight, so I will Celebrate by consuming some liquid calories--and not feeling guilt!

Glad to hear you are getting your Body Bugg! I think I remember seeing your signature from way back when on this board about wanting one - it was the first I'd heard of it. Let me know how it works out - I'm still contemplating! Congrats on the weight loss and working out! Kim

Happy Belated B-Day Auntie Phyl!

Guess what gang? Yesterday I went in for my 2nd fill, so now I have 2.5cc. I have lost a total of 33lbs! YAY!!! And now, I've cut my hours back at the hotel, so I'll be able to work out more often. YAY!!! I soooo miss working out. I also ordered my BodyBugg! It should be here this week.

I have quite a bit of catching up to do, so I'm off to read and I'll be back.

Ruby, congrats on the boob job. I'm the opposite of you... I'd love to be smaller. I'm a 44DD and even when I'm thinner, I will be at least a D cup, and would love to be a FIRM C or B. "Oranges in Socks" wonderful image that brought to mind... I'm there with you on that. My ultimate boob job would be a lift and shrink!!!

I'm so glad I had the slight de-fill last week. I can now eat food. I still have times where it won't go down or its difficult, and I still have lots of restriction, but generally I can eat a nice variety of food. I think my weight loss is better now too... was in starvation mode before and now I'm eating about 1100-1500 cals a day.

Does anyone else notice a difference in how they feel the cold since losing some weight? This is aimed at those of us in colder climates... not your southern ladies!!! In the past, I was always warm, even if the room was on the cold side. If I was cold it meant it was really cold out. Now, I'm cold all the time. I usually sleep in the raw, but have started putting on a flannel nightgown - much to my DH's disappointment. I usually have the furnace set to 68 degrees, but have noticed I'm putting it up to 72. Guess what I save in my grocery bill, I'll use on my gas bill.

I have been freezing since I have started losing weight. People think I am crazy because I am cold all the time, and I, like you, was always hot! I have resorted to an electric blanket at night cause I can't seem to get warm.

I could go for that lift and shrink as well - I've always been about a C, was up to probably a DD at my heaviest - I'm a pretty low maintenance kinda gal, so don't want to have to mess around with finding a bra that's comfy and will keep the "girls" perky. I think my hubby loves them big or small, as long as I'm happy (at least that's what he's said). As to the cold...I've always been cold in the winter...socks, warm jammies, and an electric blanket...and the heat up to 72 as well! I think I need to move further South! Kim

Kathybad - I know exqactly what you mean. My husband and kids always laugh at me because they are bundled up and I am in short sleeves. Not anymore. My hands are always freezing.

I got my body bugg yesterday but can't use it until I get a log on and I have to get one from customer service. They are only open Monday through Friday.

Ruby, that is a job. My plastic surgeon would not do any surgery even that until I lose my weight. He said if I got it done now and lost weight they would not look as good. I just have to lose and then do it. I am not a patient person but am learning it. Sometimes.

Hello all,

Sounds like everyone is doing well around the Lucky 7 thread, especially Frustrated, who needs to change her name now, because you can't be frustrated with anything now that you have the weight loss and a boob job. Merry X-mas to you!!!!

To date, I'm down 42 lbs. I'm very excited to be in a misses 14 now, and a large top. I hope to be at 50lbs down by X-mas, and I'll be half way there to my 100 lb. goal by my birthday, June 17. I've not been excerciing much at all, so once I get going in that department, I hope it just starts falling off of me.

We had Huntr's picture taken with Santa tonight at the mall. It's the first time I've been there since my surgery, and I was so excited to go into the clothing shops and look around, just because it felt comfortable to be in there now that I can fit into the clothes there.

Ruby, Congratulations! I didn't know that anything past a DDD existed. I'm like someone else who weighed in on it, I just always wanted a lift. I used to be a 40D, but 38C fits real well now. After I lose all of the weight and get a lift, I'll probably be a 36B again which would be great. My ultimate pleasure would be to wear strappy tops with no bra at all!

Kathy, I get cold too easily as well! I wondered if it had something to do with the weight loss, because it just seems more intense now.

And now for my news...I just keep losing, two pounds during T'giving weekend and it kept on and now I'm down 50 lbs and into the 150's...159.5 to be exact! Not bad, huh?!!!

Wow Ruby, I had to laugh when I read your post. First of all, congrats to your hubby for pulling that off. I think that's completely awesome. :)

I used to be a 42H (god given), but in 2005, that was kind of the start of surgery for me as I had a breast reduction done. I was tired of them always being in the way. :) I'm now a full C cup, and love it so much. As I'm losing weight though, showing cleavage is still something that makes me self-conscience. I spent my whole life just trying to find bras that everything would fit into, and love being able to buy bras in normal stores now. :Banane52:

Anyways, hope you all had a good weekend and I'll talk to you all again soon!!

Hi Everybody,

I go for another fill tomorrow morning. I can't remember what number it is without my calender. I know I have 4.5 in the 10 AP band. I don't feel any restriction yet. It must work some though because I definitely eat less. I am eating around 1200 cals a day and losing nothing. I keep looking at everyone's tickers, and I am getting seriously depressed. Unless I eat no more than 800 cals a day I don't lose weight. That is impossible right now. I really hope tomorrow's fill works.

Today I feel gross, hot, fat, and misirible. Maybe it's Auntie's fault. The bitch almost killed me last night. I actually had to take a sip of my left over surgery pain meds. Tylenol did nothing.

Hi Gang ~~~

I'm back.............................

My Sis left this morning a little before 7 a.m. - I am at work going thru my 117 emails and readying everyones updates here. Congrats Ruby for the great boobies and hubby. I was a 42 C - am now 38 D and would be happy at a 34 Full B.. I need the lift mostly.. but heck I would rather do my face 1st - the other stuff is covered up by clothing and a bra..

I didn't drink the whole time my Sis was here (my family likes to drink) but at the 40 yr wedding anniversary we went to I did eat cake:eek: said i would rather eat my caloires than drink them:p - haven't been on the scales - won't till Thursday - so will see how I did - as of last thrus did make 198 :bounce:

We had rain & wind Friday & Saturday and I am colder than i use to be - i guess it's cuz we don't have all that insulation any more to keep up warm:p

Well gotta get back to work - will ck in later

xoxox

Hi everyone  Thank you all for the kind words. I know it seems strange that I'm a contradiction in that I don't want to be fat, but I want to have big boobs (which are just fat really). But I've always liked them. When they'd hang I could pick them up and stuff them into my bra and they'd at least look perky. Now I don't have to do that. When I'm braless I can look down and see my nipples. I like that. :P

I was told that there will probably be some decrease in size as I lose more weight, but because I got such large implants, this probably shouldn't be as much of an issue. Hubby said he's more than happy for me to get another one should I feel I want any loss filled or any drooping lifted. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful and supportive husband. And yes, I do thank my lucky stars every day and appreciate every ounce of him. I've been in a relationship with a man who was probably the complete opposite; selfish, egotistical, demanding, immature, etc. So I know how good I have it now.

I started my December exercise challenge today! I'll have to set up something in my signature for that.....

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
