Sorry for the subject line... I find it humorous... but its true.... def. not constipated but wondering if I should be worried.

I'm doing 6 miles a day... drinking all liquids... wish I could eat soft veggies or something but I'm not... Weight is flying off but its gotta be through sweat and urine and of course building more muscle.

Will it feel like normal?

I should say... consuming all liquids.

Surgery was Wednesday 10/22... is it okay to eat scrambled eggs yet?

What is on your eating plan? I was not allowed soft foods for two weeks. Every doctor has different post of instructions. For my first two weeks I was not even allowed Protein supplements.

Follow your surgeons post surgery plan. My plan was seven days of Clear Liquids, seven days of full liquids, seven days of puréed foods, then 14 days of soft foods including scrambled eggs and tuna salad. eggs are more dense than they seem especially when you're fresh out of surgery. They are pretty filling and I would be surprised if you could get down more than a couple of bites.

As far as Constipation, you will want to go sooner rather than waiting until you're in pain or "need" to go. The sooner you go the less it will hurt. My surgeon recommended Miralax or Colace. I still use Colace from time to time.

Ask your doctor about a stool softener,..Colace....Walmart has a similar one with their Equate brand on it.

My surgeon said 2 - 3 days of liquids post-surgery, then whatever I could tolerate. I started with eggs, but if you're not careful, they are rubbery. I put a little extra Water in with the egg and cook it slowly so it stays soft. I also started with tuna fish + very low calorie mayo & a little Mt. Olive sugar free sweet relish.. again, very little at first and eat very slowly.

For the Constipation, I would just add some flax seeds to whatever you're eating.

I'm not constipated. Smooth Move is my favorite tea. I was just wondering if it should be coming anytime soon lol.

They told me all liquids for first week, Protein drinks second week, purred foods third week, fourth week introduce certain foods at a time. I was hoping someone had better insight. I also asked MBC and waiting to hear from them.

I was sleeved on 10/20. Had the same problem but for only 4 days. Doc said that anesthesia can put your organs to "sleep" and it can take some time to wake them up again. It can be a big problem if your body's functions don't get back to normal. If the situation had not resolved itself, she recommended Dulcolax suppositories. She said within 15 minutes you'll be going. Maybe that might help you?

Your body probably has nothing to poop if you have been on liquids. They are putting me on Clear Liquids before surgery to make sure there is nothing in my stomach.

I haven't had my surgery yet but I have seen some people say applesauce helps get things moving.

I would really wait on the eggs at least 2 to 3 weeks. Most (not all) plans don't allow them until either day 15 or day 22 (mine was day 22).

The longer you wait and stay with the liquids, the less likely you are to have nausea or vomiting with solids.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
