Anyone else have trouble with fake sugars?

I will be starting my pre op diet on Monday the 20th with my surgery scheduled for October 27th. I cannot stand anything with artificial sugar in it. It all has a terrible aftertaste to me and I will get a headache and yucky feeling in my stomach afterwards. I have been trying different ones since knowing I would be having this surgery. I am hoping to be able to get thru all the pre op and post op without the sugar free drinks or drops. I can do sugar free popsicles, sugar free Jello and puddings.

I love regular Water and am hoping that will continue after surgery. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has this issue too??

I'm not sure we are all the same, but I couldn't tolerate them well before surgery. Now it's not a problem. Immediately after surgery they were actually too sweet! Your tastes may change. If they make you feel ill though that may or may not be the case. Good luck!

I get migraines from aspartame and it's in a lot of stuff.i use Splenda in everything.
