Sounds all normal to me but if you have any questions just call the doctor's office. They are there just for that! Congratulations on your surgery!

Sounds normal to me and you're also describing exactly where my port is positioned and if memory serves that was tender for a couple of weeks. Probably didn't help that my cat jumped on me in my slee

That's where my port is located as well and it took longer for that incision to heal. Best wishes to you -- surgery behind and now it all begins! Almost a year out now and I can barely recall those

Hi
I had my surgery last Wednesday and although the pain has gone I can feel my stomach is still swollen. My question is is it normal, that I feel slightly more extended on my left side just by the bottom of my left rib, closer to the middle of my stomach. I keep getting more bloated around that area, and it feels a little hard.
I thought it would go down but still not. I also thought it might be where they put the port and that is why it is slightly rounded, could that be right? Did anyone else have the same feeling?
I am going to get my stitches out and to see the Dr on Sunday but just wondered if anyone else had felt the same.
