Is anyone else having trouble moving their bowels?

Tmi I know but I feel as though I've tried everything and nothing is helping at all.

the Water is supposed to help but yes we all go thru the Constipation phrases for a while. Activia works.

Horrible problem for me. Until I started eating raw veggies at 3 months out. You should update your stats so we can see how far along you are since surgery, because it is sometimes a guessing game here without information. I will share that I tried every recommended product with no success, and I read where someone has ended up in the ER. Don't let it get to that point. My real relief is the little pink pill, Correctol, and I know you are not supposed to do that, take the laxatives. I choose the laxative over the ER any day. Keep trying different products. I am, at 10 months post sleeve. Best wishes. So sorry!

I added olive oil to my diet and it seems to have helped. I also drink a cup of hot tea.... it does help.

Thanks everyone

Today I will be heading to bjs for the olive oil (which I use to cook with anyway) and activia.

I was sleeved on 5/5/14 and I'm down 62 lbs. I know it could be more but I'm not getting any calories nor enough Protein since I feel full from my bathroom issue and can't eat.

You ladies are awesome thanks for the info.

I had it really bad a couple of weeks after surgery. I took 2 doses of Miralax a day for a couple of days and it got me over the hump. Since then, I take a capsule of Psyllium Husk every morning and at night. It's basically Fiber in a pill. The product is sold at Walmart under the name Equate Fiber Therapy. Keeps me as regular as I figure I'm gonna be, considering that we use up most of what we take in these days. Also, you MUST drink at least 64 oz of Fluid per day. If you don't, Constipation can occur. I did some research when I had my problem, and it seems that most constipation products revolve around the same thing....(sorry, this is gross) helping the stool absorb more Water, making it softer and easier to pass. So you have to have the Water in your system to be absorbed. Okay, I gotta go scrub my keyboard with an antiseptic wipe.... Good luck!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
