Agreed! We all get spooked by body changes and adjustments in the beginning, but I think considering your recent medical history, no one in the ER would think you were overreacting. Get it checked immediately, and when you have time, let us know how it goes.

Oh my goodness! I hope you recover soon, and I agree with the others that you need to push for an ultrasound. Better safe than sorry, eh?

A blood clot can break off and lodge in your lungs, resulting in a pulmonary embolism. People have died from that. Get your leg checked ASAP...please!

thanks for all the advice. i did go get it checked out and i had blood clots in both of my lungs. i spent a week in the hospital again.there is a good chance this had nothing to do with my surgery but is actually from the accident i was in a week after. i got to come home today and i still get alil winded walking around but i think its getting better. i have to be on blood thinner for a few months. i have still lost weight last week even sitting in hospital all day which is good! now i have to get back on routine with my proper diet.

OMG, I am so glad you are OK. This is a good reminder to all of us to not disregard symptoms when our body is trying to tell us something. I am thankful that you asked questions and that you called your doctor.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
