weight loss has slowed

Recommended Posts

I'm about 4 months out and down 68lbs. My weight loss has slowed wayyyy down. I struggle to drop about a pound a week. If i eat less than 1,000 calories each day I won't lose any weight. I've still got about 40lbs to lose. Does this sound normal? Any tips to get out of it and maybe lose 2-3lbs per week?

I'm about 5 months out and have now lost 78 lbs. I too have slowed down considerably to about 2lbs per week. For about 3 weeks I hit a stall and did not lose anything. I too am eating around 1200 calories per day with an emphasis on 80-100 grams of Protein. I know what I'm burining each day because I track my workouts with Bodymedia monitor. I am in a deficit of about 1500 calories per day. I have been told to expect this but just keep plugging away. Keep up the good work, its a marathon.

The weight does slow down and you need to mix up your exercise rountines. I have had to vary my workouts to get my body to break a stall and to start to lose weight again.

My body seems to get used to certain exercises and it holds on to the weight.

Make sure you are getting the reccomended amount of Protein and make sure you check your sodium intake sometimes this makes you retain Water.

Keep plugging away the weight will come off. It is slower, but still coming off. Good luck!

Search for the hidden sugar carbs. If sugar carbs go over 30g for me weight loss slows down. I cut down on hat and usually get back on track. Also avoid grazing. Even if same amount of calories I find that grazing prevents weight loss for me. I think my body needs a real break in between meals.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
