Help! need advice! feel like i am clogged!

Recommended Posts

On this past sunday i commited a big no-no and have been paying the piper ever since. I ate three pieces of 1/2 inch thick italian bread. Ive never done anything like this since having my sleeve i am 8 months post op. Now i am only assuming the bread is the culprit, but ever since then i have been feeling so bloated with a tightness in my stomach.. its not painful, just very uncomfortable and as a result i havent been able to get too much else in.

i literally feel like i am CLOGGED! has anyone had any experience with bread doing this? how long does it take until itll pass and is there anything i can take to help it along? maybe a laxative? or could this be caused by something else?? any advice is appreciated. Never again.....

I would think the bread would have been digested and been long gone by now. Could be gas, did you try some Gas X strips? Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds like maybe Constipation. I've started adding benefiber to my Water daily... really help and you don't notice it at all

My NUT said to stay away from white bread unless it is toasted. I assume what you ate is a kind of white bread. Apparently some breads will be "gummy" in your stomach & will clog you up. I have no idea how to get rid of it if that's the culprit. Hope you feel better soon.

thank you so much for the advice. what a horrible weekend i had. i got some gas x tablets and gentle dulcolax on friday. as soon as i started taking the gas x i began burping non stop, so maybe it was just a huge gas bubble which im not sure how i got that way. from the laxative i got so sick to my stomach and was so nauseous saturday. im feeling 100 times better today though my banana still feels a little wonky.

im going to take it easy on my sleeve a few days and just have some Soup. i hardly have an appetite through this past week, and as a result ended up losing 4 more pounds.

guess my sleeve gave me a gentle reminder of who's the boss!

I love that last comment. It has a way of doing that, doesn't it. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
