I was looking into getting a blender. I seen the Nutrabullet and I fell in love with it. Has anyone had experience with it? And do you think it would be something that would help during the pre op and post op stages?

YES! I have the NutriBullet Pro, it's a little more but a great investment and includes an extra huge cup. I love it, I'm on clears so when you mix ice with the Protein and Water it tastes more like a shake and is easier to tolerate. It takes 30 seconds to crush all of my ice and mix my shake and cleanup is a breeze. It's well worth the money and you will use it for years after surgery, a lot of folks have a Protein Shake with fruit in the morning to give them a boost and get some Protein in for the day so it's great for pre-op, post-op and maintenance.

Also if you get it from Bed, Bath & Beyond you can usually find a 20% off coupon or Kohls often gives great discounts and you can use Kohls cash. I bought mine from Kohls and with tax it was $100 total and it's very high quality with the better motor which will make it last a lot longer.

If you can afford it, I say go for it!

Great! I was actually looking at the 600 watt model and fell in love. I didn't know about the Pro 900 series. I bet that thing will blend up just about anything. I will definitely be getting myself one. How does it do with ice?

I was looking at babyfood blenders because they come with several small cups and I thought that might come in handy for puréeing food. Has anyone else tried one of those and what did you think?

I seen the baby food blender also. I love the small cups too. The Nutrabullet has these huge cups that I think is unnecessary, because of the amount of food we will consume. If you make a lot and put it in the fridge for later, will it still be good?

The NutriBullet has no problem with ice, it only takes about 30 seconds to crush it all and mix everything together. For me, ice helps in the clear phase otherwise it feels like you are drinking chocolate Water which just doesn't do it for me...the ice makes it a little thicker and cold which is very very helpful. I see no reason why you can't puree foods in the blender, it can chop up most seeds and nuts so as long as you don't fill it past the max line it should be fine. I also don't think it's an issue to put your cup in the fridge for later unless you have a lot of ice in there because it may melt. You don't have to fill the cups all the way up either, they work just fine being half or even a quarter full so are very versatile IMO.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
