Because of the whole no drinking before or after meals...I never drink anymore! I have a Protein shake for Breakfast and about 10 oz of Water all day.

How can I work on this? Do you follow the "no drinking" rule?

I do follow the drinking rules, most especially no drinking 30 minutes after a meal. I still find I have time to drink :) Just make sure you have a water bottle with you at all times and remind yourself to sip.

Yes, I do follow the no drinking at least a half hour before, during and after a meal. That is about 1.5 hours a meal.

You have to make the time to drink. Set time limits and a schedule. I look at the clock and say ok, I have to drink at least 4 oz in a half hour or 20 minutes. Wait 15-20 minutes or a bathroom break, whichever comes first and do it all over again.

I will literally hold my Water bottle near my mouth and sip sip sip until I think I've had enough so I don't forget. If you have to, set your timer on your cellphone and snooze every 15 minutes and when the alarm goes off get to sipping.

It's not easy but good luck to you.

I manage with the 30 minute rule. I just sip all day

Try using a 1 oz medicine cup and sip on that every 15 mins to ensure you are drinking your required fluids. Hope this helps.

I have a 25 oz Water bottle which I fill as soon as I get to work. My goal is to have it finished off by noon (since my lunch is scheduled at 12:30). I add different flavors of crystal light like margarita so I can pretend I'm having an adult beverage instead of Water. Whatever works, right? I fill the bottle a second time and make sure I am done with it by 8pm. I usually tack on my Protein shakes and am over the 64 oz requirement. On days I go to the gym I usually suck down more water.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
