OMG!!! me = 18/20 top

Recommended Posts

i cannot believe it... went shopping at the Avenue today and just for kicks tried on an 18/20 shirt ... it fit!!

yes yes yes, it is snug in the chest area and you can see my 'top tummy', but i dont care. i wore it tonight.

i am soooo disproportionate in my sizes. top is 18/20, jeans are 26. ICK!

but i am not complaining one bit. 6 months ago, i was too big to even shop at the Avenue ... and soon i will hopefully not be able to shop there because the clothes are too big.

attached is a pic of me and my DD.

That is so great! Congrats! I too love the pic, your dd is a darling. I know the proportion issue, I am a 22/24 on top and a 26 on bottom, I have not changed shirt sizes for the last 3 pant sizes! It is slowly getting better. I think once my pant size meets up with my shirt size they will stay similar the rest of the way down, at least I hope they do!

That is such an incredible feeling that you have in the dressing room ,isn't it? You feel like hollering it out for the whole store to hear.

It is truly a "high" and I am happy for you.

Yes, you dd is so CUTE and you should be so proud of her. Be proud of yourself for getting healthier for you and your family.

your band sister,

edie

Congratulations! Isn't it the greatest feeling? Don't worry about the size differences, they'll all come together. I went into Walmart to get my Special K Protein Water, and walked past the 'clearance' of shirts on the shelves (heck! Walmart has some CUTE clothes!!!) Anyway, I bought myself 2 (XL) sweaters for $4, and 4 (XL) long sleeve t's for $3...as my 1x's are just big now. I'm at a standstill until I get a fill, but knowing I can buy and wear smaller sizes makes me feel so great. And to have a woman at work say 'So just HOW MUCH HAVE you lost anyway?? Wow...felt like it came out of now where. I was banded in January and have no fill; so I'm eating 'regular'...no restriction. **well...in my mind I have none, but no way am I eating the way I did before.

Again, congratulations..you look so happy - and you should be!

You should be so proud of yourself! You are amazing and you look so happy!!! I know it's frustrating now about the clothes, but it will all come together.

I will be banded on May 22, and you are certainly an inspiration to me!

Keep up the good work!

Cheers!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
