Hi, Well my last fill that I had was on July 24th and I finally feel some restriction. It has gotten tighter this week, could the hot weather make a differance? I sure am loving it though! I haven't lost anything for the last 2 months. Sunnysea

Hi, I went to Dr. Kirshenbaum in Denver at a complete cost of $9,500 not including flight and hotel, I would highly recommend him, everything was top notch. A post before me mentioned his website. He includes 3 months of fills free and only charges $15.00 to cover the cost of the needle for life. Some people have to pay alot for local fills, so add a flight at a good price and it could balance out. Sunnysea

Stacey, I was in an ER with a very severe over fill and no Dr. would unfill me, I was dehydrated,tired from air travel,blood pressure was up,in severe pain,nausiated,I had to spit in a bag any saliva, and was dry heaving and gaging. I said that I would sign a release not to hold them responsable and they still made my husband drive me 60 miles away to another ER where an experianced Dr. could unfill me. I know! I couldn't believe it either but I guess if you jab youre tubing and cause a leak, back to surgery you go and that could be much more costly. I hope you reconsider your options, maybe there is a Radiologist that is use to accessing ports that would fill you at a better cost?????

From what I understand they decide in surgery, when considering your stomach, stoma size, and your BMI.

Hi, I'm thinking that you have the 10mm band that holds 4cc's. And that maybe he means 2 cc's more???? They say the 10mm band can hold up to 5 to 6 cc's but it is advertised to hold 4cc's. It is the middle size band, the others are the 9.75 and the 11-vg band.

Could it be your port? Or I have heard of some fluid being trapped near the port area that eventually disperses????

Hi, I picked up some new things at L.B. last week during that B1G1 free on bottoms sale and it worked on 1 pair of jeans and a pair of bermuda shorts. They told me it worked on any bottom, even the more expensive tummy tamers, ofcourse they didn't have many and they only had the long jeans left online. Sunnysea

Debbydo, The band is made to work with solid foods to stay in the pouch longer, liquids and mushies go through easier. I was overfilled my 1st fill and had to have some taken out, if you are not able to eat solids after a few days you are overfilled and nobody wants this. But you do want to be able to eat. I notice alot of people skip meals and only consume protien drinks, to have the band work the way it was intended to you need to consume real food, protien drinks could suppliment in-between meals. Don't feel guilty, I think that it is very EXTREME for a Dr. to expect that. Some people get a small fill every 4-6 weeks, that would mean that all they ever consumed was liquids! If we could handle that we wouldn't need the lapband. That is the normal for the 1st month after surgery, I have seen 2 diff. docs and neither call for such an extreme. Sunnysea

Has anyone bought one of those expensive Barista espresso machines like they sell at Starbucks? I am so tempted, but it's a lot of money. Do you use yours regularly, or is it too much hassle? No, but I love my Tassimo machine, I use it everyday and it's super easy, finally an appliance that gets used! Sunnysea

Hello fellow Wisconsin friend, I had talked with you awhile back when I was having trouble getting financed, as you can see I got my band, I had to travel out to Denver but I got it! Keep at them, you are so close to being banded with all your doc appointments done and the fact that through all of this you were able to give up smoking and stick with it.
