Looking forward to my 2nd fill!

Recommended Posts

My first fill didn't really give me much restriction and I'm anxious to get my second one on the 26th!!! Hoping to start seeing some weight fall off after this next fill!!!

Best wishes. My fills were about 4 weeks apart. It takes more 4 most of the time. Take it slow- and steady, they win the race.

I've lost consistently over the last 10 months, but didn't feel good restriction until the 6th fill. Every one is so different with this. There are some people who didn't even need a fill. Some had a fill during surgery. Others needed multiple fills. Patience is definitely a virtue with weight loss and getting into the GREEN ZONE! Best Wishes!

I can't tell if I need another fill or not. I can eat certain things like salads without a problem. I can eat about three ounces of solid Protein like ground meat without a problem but then I feel a soft stop. Other foods like pork chops get stuck right away. I'm thinking I will wait until my scheduled appointment in July to decide, but I will probably stay put. Salads and bread may be sliders for me, so I want to start focusing on protein and veggies only right now. I've lost weight this month but it bounces up and down. I'm on my second fill and have 7 in a 14cc band.

I don't think I really belong on here because I am done, but I feel such a need to tell anyone to be cautious. EAT only what you can for awhile and introduce things slowly. I could never get to that pt even now, PLEASE PLEASE be cautious and no matter if your Dr of filler puts pressure on you to try new things, CAUTION. I am the product of what goes wrong! :) God Bless all

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
