I am 20 days post op and have good days and then days when I have 0 energy. I'm walking 30 min on treadmill everyday. I'm not drinking Protein Shakes. Just eating Breakfast lunch and dinner and taking all my Vitamins. Could the lack if Protein shakes be the reason I'm so tired. Any suggestions to improve energy?

If you aren't meeting your Protein intake it slows down the healing process greatly. You must eat all of your protein.

Also lack of protein will cause your hair to fall out more when that happens in month 4, 5 and 6 or sooner.

Please start eating all of your protein before you have a real problem.

Take care.

I had 60 grams of Protein today so I think that is ok. I had 1 egg cottage cheese and chicken for lunch.

I have had issues with Protein because I cant handle the shakes! Today I made the decision to go against my NUTS advice and started eating Quest bars - I have had 2 today and that gave me 40g of Protein - that is 30 more than I normally get in a whole day! I have not had an issue with the bars so far so I am hoping this will resolve the problem because I feel the lack of protein is my problem with energy as well. Most days I can barely climb the stairs when I get home from work to get up to my bedroom! I am tired all day but am able to make it through because I have a fast paced job - but the minute I get in my car to drive home it is as if all the energy just drains out of me!

I just pray that I didn't have too much damage by not getting in any protein for past 4 weeks!

I am 5 weeks out and still feel so tired in the afternoon. I am too tired to exercise in the evening. My doctor doesn't want me drinking Protein shakes...but I know I am not getting the 60 grams of protein.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
