Today marks my 1 month surgiversary and I am excited to be a part of the celebration crowd. I know it's only one month out compared to many of you that's months or even years out but I need to still Celebrate my little victory lol. My HW 296 pre op 282 post op today 265. I wish I coulda lost at least 10 more pounds but hey it is what it is and I'm accepting of my journey and refuse to compare. I have never lost 31lbs in my life so imma take it and run with it lol.

It's my 1 month this week too. I lost 28 lbs total. I'm guessing I'm a slow loser. HW 315, SW 309, CW 287. Was hoping to get to 30 lb lost. At least I'm in the 200's!

Hey u lost a lot more than I did considering I only lost 17lbs post op but again I'm ok with that.. Guess I'm a slow loser as well but as long as I continue to lose instead of gain I'm super ok with that. Good luck on your journey

Congrats to both! My 1-month Anniversary is next Thursday. So far I'm down 15 lbs but I don't trust my home scale, will know exactly how much when I go to my doctor on the date of my 1-month anniv. Can't wait. I too wish I would have lost more but am happy, cause at least I'm losing.... :)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
