Any restrictions now that we have staples in our tummy?

Does anyone know if these staples ever need to be mentioned ? ( airport security or MRI ). And what about using a tanning bed, how long should we wait before using one?

They just MRI'd my knee last week for a running injury. I mentioned it to him when he asked if I had any metal in my body, but he said that wouldn't make any difference and it didn't. I would still mention it though just in case. I forgot I had a clip in my hair though and that thin jumped around like no ones business before he noticed and removed it!

even I am wondering about restrictions. I did some crunches...and now when I bend down I am feeling something...

I think we have to be careful about those staples.

My doctor said the airport detectors won't go off. The staples are titanium steel. I was also told after 6 weeks I could start doing crunches and lifting weights. If it hurts stop and try again a couple weeks later. :-) Best wishes!

My dr told me two months on tanning unless I wear a tank over my stomach.
