I'm on the se situation . 3 years out and lost 60-70 depending on the day. I finally went to the dr and am on phentermine and using the my fitness pal app. It has helps me tremendously. I've lost 11 pounds in 4 weeks and only have 10- 20 more. My fitness pal has really been a god send and it's totally free:)

Thank you everyone for your response. I just don't want to fail. I know it's a tool but I just feel like I'm having to work even harder with it to lose the next 50 pounds. It's hard not to get discouraged sometimes.

Also, I've been at a stall for a while now. Does my body just "like" this weight or what? How can I propel myself out of it?

You might want to search this site for "stall" - a lot has been written about it.

Be HONEST with yourself. I had my surgery in April 2013. I lost the first 100 by November 2013. Since then, 29 lbs has been slow to come off. I've been at 190 for about three months. One day, I thought about it and realized I was slipping into old habits... Eating carbs like crackers, chips, crispy carbs that don't aggravate my sleeve. I was also not exercising at ALL because I was tired. I've realized that if I'll get my butt out of bed and go work out, I have SO MUCH more energy!!! It's a mind game. When I wanted salty food the other day, I made a boiled egg and put salt and pepper on it. My sleeve was thrilled with this!!!! I've lost 3lbs since starting back to the gym and eating healthy again. Refocus!!! :)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
