Who do I tell? Is it ok to only tell a couple people?

Recommended Posts

I've actually told quite a few people...because I have very few filters and I know I would end up mentioning it anyway. My family knows, my friends and the people I work with. And everyone's been pretty supportive (and if they weren't, they haven't said anything to me). Most of the comments I've received are pretty positive (I guess I'm pretty lucky in that)

You don't have to tell anybody anything. If you say you ave change your eating habits and activity level that will not be a lie. If you say you are eating a whole lot less and it has not been easy, that too is not a lie. You can be as detailed or not as you have to be. I don't think it's anybody's business really. Nobody is concerned and asking how we became obese in the first place, so why should this be any different,

Thanks everyone. I would LOVE to NOT tell a single person but my adult son and his family live with me and I have a 1 year old son...so, they are going to have to take care of my son for the days I am in Mexico. Also, I tell my mom EVERYTHING and she IS a secret keeper. ;)

I am glad I asked and I appreciate all the suggestions. I am going to tell a few people and that's it.

I told my mother only because she's my support person. I was hesitant because she's a bit of a babbler but she's the only person I can count on right now and she's had surgery before, so she'll know what I'll go through. I don't plan on telling anyone else because it's none of their business and I don't feel like having to explain my decision to haters because you know there's always a few lol.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
