How do you eat Soup? ? I mean, really i know what to do, but how do you go about eating it? I had some homemade Italian wedding soup and ate my meatballs while sipping up the broth. I got in 3 little meatballs with about 1/3 c broth. Normally when I eat regular non soup items I fit in 1/4 c total if I'm lucky. Was I able to get in a little more because of the broth with the meatballs?

In a word- yes. My

Dr. Doesn't want us to eat Soup after we move out of the liquid phase. Says it's just like eating and drinking at the same time. But if your dr. Says it's okay I would just eat the Protein out of it.

My doc has a few things that are different, though. Ex. We are told to drink a cup or so of liquid up to 5 min.before we eat and then wait the standard 30 min after.

Don't know if this is helpful or not but as long as you're following your doc's program you will do just fine.

You know those garbage bags they show on TV where they keep cramming in more and more as the bag stretches and then they show the other brand that bursts when they overfill it. You sleeve is the "other brand".

Stick to your measuring. If you only typically fit 1/4 cup, limit yourself to that. It's not about -trying- to fit in more. If you start breaking the rules with amounts......then fluids with solids food......you're going to start fudging on all the guidelines and then you're gonna come on here asking why your not losing or worse......you are gaining again.

Stop thinking you're getting away with something and stay on track. ;)

I wasn't trying to squeeze anything extra in. I just ate some of it and was wondering. I had no thoughts of " trying to get away with something". I was just asking a simple question and wanted an answer. I am new at this and answers like this are a huge turn off.

Simply by asking the question, it shows you are in fact aware of what you were doing. All I'm saying is when you become aware......avoid doing it. Good luck.

My surgeons solution to Soup is drink the broth first as it slides through, then eat the chunks since they will fill you up. Or he says to have a stew or chili instead as they are nice and thick. Hope that helps.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
