Thank you for your kind words... I post this success story bc I too had doubts, worries and needed some guidance. This forum has given me support and I just want to give back for some thinking about this journey or who are struggling on this journey. I would choose to do this surgery in a heartbeat if you asked me would I do it again. My husband and I both did it and he has lost over 70lbs and has reached goal.

Thank you for your post and the inspiration. Your story shows exactly what can be achieved if you put your mind to it. Do you mind me asking what your diet has been like? Do you ever have take out or eat candy or deserts? And did you have to join a gym or work out regularly? I am a month out and would love to look like you in 3 months if I can. So any tips and tricks would be most appreciated....

Hey yummy mummy... I eat everything now, except for sugar, and my body hates a lot of fried food. I do eat baked salmon, baked tilapia, chicken (fried, baked, grilled) just very small amounts. I don't indulge in any deserts however I might have a piece a chocolate every once in awhile.

I do exercise 6-7 days a week for at least 30-45 minutes. Sometimes two a days. I jog on treadmill at home,, go to the gym and use elliptical or bicycle.

But at 1 month out I walked on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes and did 2 miles a day. I gradually worked myself up to a jog after my body said it was ok. Listen to your body and if you don't have a treadmill start walking outside on a trail or in the park.

I went from a size tight16- loose 6... I'm here to help in any way

Wow! How inspiring. Sounds like both of us started at the same weight. I'm 4 weeks out and down 22 lbs. Having problems eating and drinking enough but I'm trying. Walking in treadmill starts this week. I just get so lightheaded. Otherwise I feel great. Fitting into clothes from last year.

Did you have any intake problems one month out?

You look amazing. This was awesome! Thanks for you post. My stats are pretty much identical to yours. My surgery is two weeks away. I'd just like to ask when you were cleared for full exercise? And how did you feel physically when you started abdominal exercises or whatever? I don't want to break anything, bust any stitches, lol.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
