If you like coffee I just found Bolthouse Farms make a coffee Protein drink with 16g of protein in 8oz. Also has 26g of carbs, don't know if you're worried about that or not.

My nutritionist and doc told me the first month is the progression time to increase your Protein intake. It took me 6 weeks before I was even close to my required protein I take. Talk to your nut/doc if u r concerned. I hear that many people like costco s premier drinks. You may want to try that.

One thing that helps me is to drink Clear purple Isopure instead of Water or G2. I stress purple because the other flavors are nasty. Purple is pretty good as long as it's cold. It's available at GNC in 20 oz bottles, and each 20 oz bottle includes 40 grams of Protein. Also, I like the Myoplex Protein shakes - 17 oz has 42 grams of Protein, and they taste good compared to some of the others I've tried. These are available at Target and grocery stores. Just in drinking the 37 oz. of Fluid over the course of the day, I get 82 grams of protein.

I love GNC smoothies but hate the extra sugar!! My fav is the Lemon Drop (country time lemonade, strawberries, PowerMaxx Protein, and pineapple juice), I make it at home with Crystal Lite lemonade packet, unsweetened frozen strawberries & pineapples, Water and a scoop of PowerMaxx vanilla (20g of protein). I LOVE this drink and it taste great!!!

Over time I played with different Protein powders and finally found one that I like.

I am 5 and a half weeks post-op. I am with you. I haven't found any shake that tastes good. I can't drink them. I felt weak until the start of this week. I can eat a normal diet now. I eat Protein instead of drinking it. I am not eating very much either. I am never hungry. I tried pouring half the shake into a glass and then adding a cup of whole milk to it and then shaking it up. The vanilla flavored ones tasted the best to me but you still get that smell and taste but not as strong. I have given up on them now. I drink liquids all day long. Water, Gatorade, Ice tea with splenda and cool-aid with splenda, milk. When I was at 2 weeks I was eating a lot of Jello. Otterpops help. Beef Soup broth. I had the runs daily. Not so much now. I take chewable vitamins daily. I am retired now so being lazy around the house, is OK for me. Good luck.

I maintain a blog that has some recipes for high Protein full liquids that are really veg and meat Soups. You can find it at www.twosleevers.com and one of the categories is Full liquids. It's the only way I got through my post op.

Now, 8 months later, the occasional shake goes down a lof easier but I still do the Soups from time to time

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
