So I'll be a month out next week and have only been able to work out 30min on the treadmill 3xs a week. Well today I finally did a hour on the tread I'm so happy sounds so dumb but I feel so accomplished! Gives me hope that with bumping up my time I'll get out of my stall. for anyone reading this what kind of work outs would you recommend when not being able to lift? Or do you recommend a work out DVD that's worked for you?

Great job!!! I am 3 months 12 days out and I have lost 54 lbs and I now weigh 143 lbs. I worked out the day after I got out of the hospital by walking 2 miles 3-4 times a week on treadmill. Then I started increasing after a month an started jogging slowly and now I run as well as go to the gym 3 times a week for spin cycle, elliptical. You will lose a lit but slower working out but you are gaining muscle so that's more important than being skinny fat!!! Stay encouraged... I have P90x, Brazilian butt lift and Shaun Ts ab workout that I will start using to incorporate my last few lbs. again I'm only 3 months out, the sky's the limit for me. Good luck

I weighed 197 lbs and I'm 5'1... I just worked out and set goals, drank a little Protein Shakes and I eat the rest in Protein with fish, chicken, beef and pork and veggies. I work out 6-7 days a week 30 minutes

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
