Interesting article posted today. I'm sure it doesn't apply to most of us, but it might be worth a read.

Interesting article. I have consistently struggled to get in the required 64 ounces a day. I am able to do it, but as in the article, there are times I will sit with a glass and struggle to get it do. It actually becomes harder to do when you know you have to drink more

No offense meant to FitnFabfor2014. Please take this as meant - tongue in cheek - :-P

Other famous articles from the same author: Stacy Finz

"Miss Manners’ response to diabetic triggers firestorm" and "Go ahead and shack up"

Thank God for all these articles, written by people with little or no credentials.

Why would I be offended? Everyone has an opinion, just like you.

As stated above, it's an interesting read, whether you believe it or not.

Just my $0.02, but I don't think posting that article here is particularly helpful to WLS patients. No offense meant. So many people here don't get their Water in and end up in the ER dehydrated. This article (by a regular person, not even a reputable medical researcher), tacitly gives people a reason to ignore their doctor's water mandate. Again, no offense to the poster, I am just worried that the newly sleeved will believe this blog posting and cause themselves real harm.

Agreed... We should listen to our medical team foremost in all things related to our WLS

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
