I have had a HORRIBLE day...I have been having cravings REALLY bad...then I drove 45 miles home to then go to a meeting 30 miles further to only discover the meeting isn't this evening...it's next Tuesday!!! I was so aggravated with myself for not removing it from my calendar and waiting 60 miles worth of gas, I reverted to old ways and driver thru Steak 'n shake and got a double cheeseburger with K, M and Extra P!! And that isn't all....I also got a double chocolate fudge shake!! I ate about 1/2 the burger and ate it too fast and it got stuck!! So after slimming and spitting and hurting for about 10 minutes, I finished eating it and drank the shake!! I so freaking MAD and DISGUSTED with myself, I can hardly stand it!!

This is just one little bump in your road. You're entitled to these little hiccups. Tomorrow is a different day and you can get back at it.

Sorry....did not read enough about you....So glad you did not do any of that with a fresh surgery...Dang girl...Talk about hurt...

We all have times before , during and after we have surgery to learn what is our triggers that make us want to eat.....You just found one of yours...Maybe keep a Protein bar in your car. Or some nuts that you enjoy....:)

Ohio, now you know what NOT to do. You also learned that frustrating situations can make you revert to old habits. Use this knowledge to your advantage and try to prepare yourself for potential frustrating situations. You can make an emergency pak for such situations in the future. Include items such as old pictures, a Quest bar, or some other yummy but healthy snack thing, include a list of your goals and pics of outfits you want to wear. Rather than be mad take this opportunity to grow in wisdom. You can be frustrated or even down right livid and still keep your goals in sight. Best wishes, Lauren

The road to success is not a straight path.... There are many curves, twists, and turns along the way. I made two copies of blank calendars for each month.... One is marked "Food Plan" and the other is marked "Exercise." I'm visual, so bare with me....... I actually draw a SMILEY FACE on each and every day that I follow and meet my "Food Plan" goals and"Exercise" goals. On days that I don't, I leave it blank (I thought about drawing a "sad" face, but decided against that to keep it more upbeat.) I have smiley faces on about 90% of the days.... And I'm great with that. I'll have 15-18 days of smiley faces in a row, and a day or two with a blank space, followed by another string of smiley faces. The point ------- I'm going to not always be 100% perfect; I'm just not. QUIT BEATING YOURSELF UP..... It's a bump, a curve, a NO SMILEY FACE DAY! You've got this!!!!

Thanks guys...I am literally in tears thinking about what I did...thanks for the advice

Was today the bad eating day? I was so bad today also. Tomorrow is a new day. I had too many wonderful hand cut fries, a few bites of cake and some ribs after I ate dinner.

Have a great Thursday

Arlene

Next time just get a kids meal. ;). (I did that last week, and called it portion control). Tomorrows come every day! Don't beat yourself up over it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
