Anyone else doing well with weight loss but scared to death you'll screw it all up

Recommended Posts

I had my VSG surgery in November of 13. I've lost 79 lbs since and feel much better.

I too fear regaining my weight since I have a history of losing and gaining.

I gained 100 lbs during my college years mostly on beer and pizza.< /p>

After college I went on a 1000 calorie a day diet and lost the 100 in 6 months.

Slow but sure it took me 10 years to put in back on. My MD offered me

the Optifast diet and I lost 120 lbs in 6 months.

Unfortunately I gained back 160 lbs over the next few years.

I found myself weighing 435 and feeling hopeless. I went on a diet and

lost 50 lbs on my own, then I joined a gym and lost an additional 60.

I stopped going to the gym after suffering a knee injury and once again

the weight came creeping back.

After seeing I was back to 386 lbs, I decided to pursue WLS.

So frankly I am scared poopless that one of these days I will stop losing and

start to regain. I am lucky to be able to tolerate Protein Shakes with skim milk

And usually have 3 a day in addition to a meal. I stay away from carbs and

hit the gym at least 3 days a week.

My goal is to get to 200 lbs. I have a long way to go but still fear regaining

what I've lost.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
