it's good to have support and a little extra encouragement. I am like an open book so I tell everyone. Some people don't understand it but most are very proud of me for doing it. People have even approached me about having surgery and are seeing my surgeon so I feel good if I can help somebody else. My mother lives in SC so it's nice to surprise her with my changing size every few months.

I think I will tell more people after I just don't want people trying to talk me out of it! Last night my husband took me out to buy my supplements and Protein! He was very hesitant about the surgery at first but now he sees how excited I am and he has come around! Although I know when he sees me in pain he won't be happy.

Hi Ann22

Would love to buddy up. I live in Michigan. I have been in the process for 8 long months I simply cannot wait for next week. Although a bit nervous, but I think its more a feeling of being in limbo rather than fear. I look forward to sharing with you as we start our journey.

My surgery was 3/26 and I'm feeling good. Water has been the hardest thing for me but that seems to be getting better. Last I weighed I am down 13lbs since surgery.

That's great! I was done 3/27 and was doing great until today.... I've been a little off and had a hard time drinking today- feels like a lump in my throat.

That happens to me when I eat or drink too fast. I also find everyday is different. Some days I am so hungry and feel I can't stop eating (I am on fluids, Protein Shakes, yogurt, sf pudding and strained cream soups) and some days I have to force myself to eat.

@RJCmommy....I'm not having any pain but I have zero energy. Just started puréed food today and it was great to finally have something besides liquids but I didn't come close to Protein goal. What are you eating?

Still on Clear Liquids. My next follow up appt is on Tuesday and hoping I can start having puréed foods.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
