Valann, Welcome!

Everyone has their own likes/dislikes......I'm a huge fan of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and Premier Protein ready to drink pouches.....they are not thick like a shake, but rather like chocolate milk---I can't get down thick shakes

but I also mix it up a bit......for now I'm making a spiced pumpkin latte using the vanilla premier Protein drink as my base.....there are a lot of recipes on here and online in general...

Can anyone share their opinion of the best tasting Protein Shakes.Taste is very important to me. Thanks

I'm 25 and have been over weight since I was 13. I had thought a lot about weight loss surgery but was too scared people would judge me. Last February me and boyfriend took a trip to Fort Lauderdale and they weren't very fat friendly I don't think there was one bathroom stable or chair I fit into correctly , I was very self aware the whole time. I just got home and thought I never want to worry on a vacation or at home were I can fit again.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
