New, banded 03/27/2007

Just started, wt of 288 lbs. Will post photos as I progress. I am determined to do the work to reach my goal. I am having some nausea, some pain. Other than that, I am ok so far. Does anyone have any pointers? Also, where do you guys get the little icon line at the bottom of your posts that track your wt/current/goal? Thanks to everyone who has posted before and after photos, that gives me something solid to work for.

Good job on getting banded.

Congratulations!! I had gas pains at the beginning. I was told to try Milk of Magnesia to relieve some of the gas pain. It seemed to work. Also, try walking, that helped me heal quicker too. I was banded on 3/12/07 and had pain where my port was inserted. Other than that I felt fine. The pain has decreased a lot and I'm feeling really good now.

Hang in there. You can do it. :)
