I am scheduled for April 23rd!! I have been trying different Protein shakes...I found the best tasting is Chike! I am only going to be in them the first two weeks post op so I didn't load up on them. Some say your taste changes so we will see if they still taste as good after! Hah I have to be on a three day liquid diet pre op so I will not be having an Easter this year!! Haha I am in NY and very excited! I started feb 7th at 270 and have lost 20 lbs so far. I was require to lose 10 to 15 so I'm happy I could exceed that!

I fell in love with Chike it was my favorite but right now no Protein Powder taste good to me. I will say the carnation sf Breakfast drink is tasty with light plain soy milk. Congrats on ur loss.

I just ordered some Chike to try. Never heard of it before, but I'm trying to get some single servings of various kinds to see what I like. So far I have Unjury. My 2 week liquid diet starts on the 16th. Yikes!!

U will do great on ur liquid diet. Best advice is to follow ur instructions mines said Protein Shake or something from approved list every 3 hours and today I got slammed at work and missed those increments now I'm siting at my bar in my kitchen starving and frustrated. After day 3 I was totally fine no hunger at all but I'm sure it's because I didn't follow directions and eat every 3 hours like I'm supposed to.

Awww! I'm sorry! That's got to be hard. I'll have to keep an eye on that every 3 hour thing! I'm a teacher so it's easy to get caught up in what I'm doing and forget! Did you have any headaches the first few days? That's what I'm most concerned about since I'm prone to Migraines.

I didn't have any headaches but I think it's because I stopped sugar carbs and caffeine 3-4 weeks before the liquid diet. My daughter didn't stop before she started but she did experience a headache on days 3 & 4. Afterwards she's been good. She suffers from migraines and cranial pressure.

My doctor doesn't require a liquid diet, but I felt left out and decided to do it anyway this week! All the cool sleevers are doing it! :).

My surgery is April 16th. The first day has been going good.... Until I just paid my property taxes online (second installment is due by April 10th in CA.). Now I feel broke and feel like pouring myself a liquid cocktail!

Officially on the losers bench as of April 8th. Past two days have been really bad with pain and nausea. They have me staying 1 more day in the hospital to make sure I'm not dehydrated

I'm one day post op and have been experiencing the same thing. Not much pain mod nausea. Anytime I drink or try to eat a popsicle. However I have been to the bathroom and did# 2. Yay sorry if TMI!!

Glad your feeling good and already went #2. I haven't yet so hopefully soon just happy to not be nauseated anymore I hate feeling like that. Got all the way home and my hospital forgot to give me all my scripts so back to the hospital we go- lol

Well I'm a week out from the 8th and thankfully each day has got better.

First few days bad then badish but manageable nothing I couldn't handle, besides I was too tired to cry. Slept loads, in fact all day Tues and wed.

The hotel in Belgium was great but my room was above where the smokers went and in Europe cigs smell like cigars, awful.

Travelling on two flights by myself was okay though majorly sick between flites.

At home drinking tea as Water made the bile rise and drinking cuppa Soups, avoiding anything fruity as too acidic.

Lost weight but at this point don't care as still getting head round that I want to eat...

So my mantra is keep moving forward and one day at a time.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
