Appetite Control HELP PLEASE !!

Recommended Posts

I am seeking some suggestions on appetite control. I was banned on 1/2/07 and had my first 3cc fill on 2/22/07. I felt no restriction 2days after the fill. Since then my appetite has been increasing steadily. My initial weight loss was about 30 pounds after 38 days. On 3/22 I had my second 2cc fill after the doctor said I had gained 3 pounds. :cry I have a large band and this doctor makes his patients wait 30 days in between fills.

I am ALWAYS hunger and cannot seem to get my appetite under control. I feel I am going backwards in this process and will continue to gain weigh unless I can get my hunger cravings under control. Even after my second fill I am experiencing very little restrictions and can eat any thing with out any discomfort. I think this ban is only high price internal decorations.

Any suggestion on quality appetite suppressions, I desperately need some ideas from the group. Can you please email me at kbinns101@comcast.net

Thanks,

Bandguy ( Hungry-Guy)

You will definately catch up.. I was banded in July of 2006 and am just now starting to get the weight loss. I have a 10cc band and finally was filled to 8ccs.. Let me tell you.. I am NOT hungry. The bigger band takes alot of adjustments and sometimes takes longer to kick in with the weight loss.

It will happen.. but the hardest thing is.. patience. I have learned to have it!

Bandguy...

Don't fret too much aye! It does take time to get perfect restriction but you will in time...if you do need to eat...then make the RIGHT food choices You will be fine...

That is what I am filling. I had my band done 2/15/06 and have lost 50 lbs. But that was the first 6 month now I have gained 8 back. (YUK) and it is the dragons. Sometimes food will not go down but chocloate has no problem going down. I guess I need to set back and look at what I am eating and why? Thanks for the insite.

Hi. I am only 4 weeks post op and am always hungry. I had a visit with the dietitian/nurse on Thursday and she asked how much i am drinking Water. which I'm not... or should i say wasn't. I now have a water bottle with me or a glass by side and sip sip sip all the time except for the 30 Min's before/after rule. this has really helped me.....just a suggestion, worth a try.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
