Good Morning! So my surgery was at 1:15 yesterday. I was back to my room by 3:30 or 4:00. I ended up having a drain put in to one of my incisions but I wouldn't even know if it was there. Since my surgery was so late in the day I have to stay 2 nights. I didn't sleep much last night. I was up and walking by 6 pm last night and have been walking about every 2 hours. I've been eating ice all night long but they are getting ready to pass out Breakfast. Which I'm not too hungry. I am still very sore. I wouldn't expect any less though. I will keep updating as new things happen! Thank you for all of the wonderful thoughts!

Well I was able to come home today!! So exciting, although I'm a little overwhelmed! I'm still pretty sore and my belly makes this funny noise and feeling. It's like it's talking to me. I ate my first FULL liquid 2 oz meal today which was mashed potatoes!! I've walked a good amount but I am pretty tired. A hospital is not a time to rest that's for sure. ;) I'll talk to you guys soon!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
