O as I'm sitting here thinking of what I am most anxious to buy after I lose my weight... I am also wondering what YOU are anxious to buy?

For my personal "reward" to myself... I am anxious to buy new shorts and sleeveless shirts for summer time! If I hit goal weight in winter, I will be so excited to buy a pair of skinny jeans and new boots! That's my reward to myself!! Is it bad that I am already thinking about rewards for hitting goal? I'm also thinking that every 6 mos that I stay at goal.... I'll treat myself to a new outfit (as I will surely need em!) and on the yr mark... I will get a new pair of shoes!!

Thinking I might have a great reward system for myself! ;-)

I'm waiting on buying clothes until I'm closer to where I think I will end off on the weight loss. I did however buy a smaller vehicle already. A brand newish Mini Cooper.

I had to buy some clothes because I donated all of my 3x/ 18 shirts and size 54 pants. My wife has been buying me a lot of clothes in large now that my waist is a 38. I still have 35 lbs to go, so I'm not buying anything else for now.

I'm also in New York but hate the Northeast winters and your cocoon will offer a bit less insulation for you next year. I am almost 11 months out and freezing all of the time. Good luck to you on your journey.

That's my fear.... I have always slept with fans on and windows open. (Yes even in the ohio winters) and I am always hot.... I can't imagine always being cold. Wonder if that happens I a lot of people as they lose the weight?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
