Need a jump start!

Hello! I just reached my one year of being banded on 12/17 - The first 9 months after my surgery were great but somehow I have fallen off the wagon and have gained 10 pounds in the last 3 months. I know I need to get back to the basics, but I don't know how to start. I am so incredibly disappointed with myself I cannot seem to get in the right mindset to get back on track! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I know for me when I feel like I'm headed off track an appointment with my surgeon's office always helps get me back on track. They check my fill level and they always have good tips to help get me motivated and restart making better choices.

Maybe give them a call and set up an appt. and in the mean time make a list of what things you think you might be eating, doing or not doing that have put you off track and then start correcting those one at a time.

That always helps me get back on course again.

Best of luck to you!

i agree whole heartily that an appointment is a great idea. starting with your next meal you are going to stay on track. you are going to walk around your house or take a walk. you are going to get back on the wagon and feel good about yourself. you can do it. i know.

In two more days it will be my one year anniversary with the band. I gained 3 lbs at my last visit but totally my fault. I was not tracking my calories but I'm back on track again and lost 5 lbs since that 3 lb gain. I have to keep my doctor's appointments to stay on track. I depend on my doctor's appointments to keep me accountable. I go to my surgeon once a month and my PCP every 3 months. The first thing both doctors do is make sure I get on the scale first. It's been very slow losing weight for me. I still have 65 lbs to lose. Sometimes it frustrates me but if I say lose 10 lbs at a time I do better psychologically. 65 lbs seems like it will take forever but 10 lbs seems more easily doable. Best of luck on your venture!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
