Spring, Tx anyone?

Recommended Posts

Hey people, how is everyone? I was banded on the 22nd of November. Was just looking for a band buddy I can chat with. It's hard dealing with this alone, no one understands what us bandsters are going through.

Yea I found support on here Sherlock1969 thanks. This place helped me a few times. What I meant was doing it alone as in nobody I know that has had this done. My family doesn't really know what I'm going through.

Cypress is not far at all. I too am learning as I go. Those papers they give us was pretty much all I was going by, food wise. But kind of exploring a little more with food as I go.

Sherlock, I know that there are thousands of people on here that have had the band. In my world I know of a few but only two have had the band or sleeve. My family has no idea I have done this. That's what I meant by alone. A select few of my friends know what I have done and help me. J come here because I am embarrassed that I have let food have so much control of me and my life. The others do not think understand.

Somali,

I am glad you have a support base. I am trying to reestablish a healthy and enjoyable relationship with food. It is harder than anticipated.

Typo chick,

I guess you can say I have a support group. A very small one but they don't understand. It is hard, because the same with me food controlled my life. I've been overweight since about the third grade. And now to try and have control over what I put in my mouth is difficult. A large part of my family does not know I've done this either. I just told the people closest to me which is no more then about 5.

I struggle the most with food. I am most fearful of bad habits not cravings but bad habits coming back. I also dont like the feeling of no control. Before the band I just gave up and ate whatever. I tipped the scale at 320 lbs. that's my heaviest ever. I loved the fact of losing 35 lbs but plataued the start to gain. I gained because I am able to eat regular diet. They aren't kidding when they call it bandster hell!

Same with me, I dealt with bad habits and uncontrolled cravings. I was real bad before my surgery, the two week diet I started eating all the junk I'm probably not gonna eat again and stuffed myself. And I figured since I go to the gym I can just work it off. But now since I figure I can't eat the good stuff like I normally do and enjoy it I might as well not eat it.

And I am worried if i get another feel it will be too tight, as i am filled at 7 i believe and some food does goes down slowly, so i do have the retriction but havent seen the results on the scale lately and i do workout.

Hello. It's great to find people near me. Your name suits well. You have to remember this isn't a race. Everyone loses at their pace. 30 pounds is 30 pounds. I'm no expert but it would have to depend on what you eat and what type if workout your doing.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
