I hope not. I just bought a 16 pound box of sugar free lollipops.

I don't think it's cheating at all. Just be careful of carbs and sugar-alcohols. Some of the sugar-free Gummy Bears and Jellybeans I've looked at have more carbs than I had expected. And the sugar alcohols can have a laxative effect...

Beware of sugar free candies - they can be loaded with sugar alcohols that can wreak havoc with your system. If there is any ingredient with "itol" at the end (malitol, sorbitol, xylitol, etc) - look out - that's a sugar alcohol.

I have tried them and I think they actually trigger hunger for me. (I think Splenda does the same thing.)

I hope not! I've ate them since just before my surgery. I have a up to 5 hard candies a day some times. I did however eat like 15- 20 I think one day and it hurt my belly so bad. I paid for that in the potty for a day an half. YIKES lol never again

I take a sugar-free cough drop here and there and they definitely help. They don't trigger hunger for me the way nuts/carbs/slider type foods do. I think it's different for each of us.

sugar free stuff will have a laxative effect if taken in more than one serving size. Learned that the hard way in high school with cough drops :/

I used to eat Sugar Free Chocolate candies (russel Stovers) and noticed after a while they were turning my teeth darker. Might want to watch for that.

Some docs and nuts say yes, some say no. I'm assuming you're on liquids ..?

I am on pureed/blenderized foods right now. I see the laxative and fart city remark to be true. I usually only have my coffee flavored one in the morning. I doesn't make me miss my coffee as much.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
