It's 18 degrees in Rhode Island this morning. Know how you feel. :)

Yes it was! It's too early for this! I hope it's not a sign of things to come...

58 in So. Calif. right now with a forecast high today of 70. But it did rain a little last week!

My son's at Camp Pendleton near San Diego. He asked me to mail him his coat last week because the nights were getting 'a little chilly'. Last year he was deployed from Sept to May so he never experienced a Southern Cali winter and doesn't know what to expect. And with a shattered leg and on crutches he can't move around as much as he's used to. Poor baby is cold. Lol

I am a bander who was always hot and now freeze. I live in Boston, so yes it is very cold. Right now I have a therapy type thing around my neck that you put in the micro wave. My ass is freezing, too. When I sleep, I sweat. I have a window opened in my bedroom all winter. Weird how the body changes so much.

Stay warm and enjoy the holiday season.

I think he'll find the So. Cal. winters to be considerably milder than most. San Diego is a great city with a long and proud history of serving our military. The guys/gals from Camp Pendleton and MCAS Miramar seldom have too much trouble finding something to do on their time off! Lol!

Thermostat set to keep the house at 74 degrees and still have to put a blanket over me, and I'm sitting next to the furnace vent. Body thermostat totally off with the additional weigh gone. If I didn't hate humidity so much I would move to Belize.

My nephew just graduated from boot camp at Pendleton. He returns tomorrow for his job school. We are so proud of him.

I am so glad to hear others are cold too! I FREEZE all of the time. An electric blanket is on my Christmas list lol. My butt doesn't hurt thank goodness. My surgery was October 2, 2013 and I have hit the 50lbs lost mark and have 35 to go! I am so happy with my progress and wouldn't go back for anything!

Yes. Freezing too! My friend told me about "cuddle duds". They are like real soft long underwear. I got mine at Sams club. I wear them under all my clothes all the time now.

Thanks. That's sounds like a good idea! We were in KY this last week and I was pretty much a continuous ice block

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
