October Sleevers! How Much Have You Lost?

Recommended Posts

My surgery was Oct , 3 and after the fluids from surgery I gained the 13 pounds I had lost so from the day of surgery, I've lost 36 lbs but now the weight loss is slowing down and am getting frustrated. Tell me how much have you lost?!

Hello. I was sleeved 10/21. I did not gain anything from surgery and have lost 13lbs post op. I have been a little...oh let's say frustrated because I hit the dreaded 3 week stall early. I have stayed the same about 2 weeks now. I know it happens, so I am not getting bent or anything. I will just be happy when my body decides it is time to start letting go of some more weight again! I did lose 33lbs from August on my own, so that may also be playing into things now. IDK... But I am still happy. I know my body is adjusting and figuring it all out. And to be honest, I have probably not been eating enough. Trying to up my calories a little more, plus get moving more, to break the stall and get back heading down...Good luck!

I had surgery 10/14. Am down 32 lbs. but having a hard time getting my Protein in. I start to eat and get full in a really small amount. I have to literally force myself to eat. Thinking I am about yo hit a big stall due to lack if protein not to mention more problems that causes. Started at 325 and am at 293 now. :)

Surgery 10/2. Down 30 since surgery, 54 overall. In a 2 week long stall right now, even gained 2 pounds! That must be a time of the month thing, or Water retention so I'm not worried.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
