I'm getting the date of my surgery as well as the phrase "Spread Your Wings"

My auntie has told me this my whole life and it's something that helped me make it through this process! Just waiting until I hit goal weight or my one year!

My surgery date is March 12th and I'm going this Saturday to get a tattoo for my journey still kinda back and forth between which one I want lol but the one I'm leaning more toward is a quote " find joy in the journey" with a dandelion blowing in the wind, it kinda makes me think that I know there will be good/bad days but the joy of it all is I will get to a happy place somewhere in my journey! :)

Great question. I do not have any tattoos, but I would consider getting one to mark the occasion of having WLS.

I am a 64 year old grandma to 10 wonderful kids! I am pretty mild going but when I began my journey .. For myself ... I went an had a small tattoo ( word) done on the inside of my wrist! Shocked everyone but I am so glad I did it! It remains me daily what my real hunt is for in my life.. The need for " BALANCE "

I will be getting a tattoo. I'm the only one in my family who doesn't have one. I designed my husband's and will be designing my own. I'm thinking long and hard about what it will be and where it will go. You don't rush something that's so permanent!

I am having plastic surgery in November and I'm considering that to be my "final phase" of my journey... Once I am healed of that I was thinking about having my heaviest weight tattooed on my ribs or something so that I never forget how far I have come... Idk. But I've thought about it as well.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
