Anyone else starting pre-op diet tomorrow Nov 4

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone else is starting their pre-op diet tomorrow? I am and scheduled for surgery Nov 18. So I have to do two week of low carb (no more the 30) low fat ( no more then 10 grams) and Protein (70 grams) diet.

My date is Nov 19th. I don't have to officially start my pre op diet until the 11th, but I am choosing to start it tomorrow. Figure it gives me a week to really get into the "groove" of it and hopefully be able to combat the temptations before I'm really required to be. :)

I think I have cried about three times this weekend just thinking about it. I am usually an emotional person so glad my husband puts up with it. lol Guess so many things going through my head, is this what I really want to do ? have I tried hard enough on my own? what if I hate the way I look 6 months from now? . I am a over thinker on a lot of things.

Yup. I start my Liquid Protein diet tomorrow and my surgery is also on the 18th. I'm nervous, but excited.

My nut said to drink the Bariatric Advantage shakes and they are just alright. I'm wondering how I'll be feeling in a few days...

My diet is juice( 100% fruit or veg), Protein drinks( they recommended world wide pure Protein Shake found at trader joes), skim milk, low-fat cream Soups, sugar free pudding and Jello, dannon light and fit yogurt, sugar free fudgcles and popscicles. Water, crystal light, tea, can have coffee( they say preferably decafinated).

I bought 2 cases of different Protein Shakes at costco. Premier Protein in chocolate( 30g of protein) and EAS( 20grams). I also ordered 3 samples packs( around 13.00) of FITFRAPPE Protein shakes from Bigtrain.com.

I started my pre-op diet today as well, and I'm scheduled for surgery November 19th. My doc requires a 2-week low-fat, low-carb, low-calorie diet, followed by 2 days of liquids only.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
