I had my surgery on thursday the 31st and havent had any pain meds since Friday. I dont like the way they make me feel and its more discomfort than pain, so I skip the meds.

I am have had a low heart rate (36-60) since surgery and my doctors are trying to figure out why. So my exercise is limited. I had a bad kidney infection following surgery and they had a hard time clearing it so I had to be put on IV medicine. Constipation is a big pain in the butt (pun intended.. LOL). Getting down all of my liquids and Protein down is still really hard to do and I depend on my Zofran to not get sick still.

If I had it to do all over again... I 100% would even with my "speed bumps". My body is feeling so much better in my back and joints. My spirit is so much happier and I constantly smile even on my bad days! I look forward to the new me.. the healthier me and reaching all my goals!

Well must say was a lil rougher then I expected, was advised it was due to the gas pains, I was walking as soon as I was sent to my room, walking is the key, I have had no problems getting my liquids down, first night home was rough, then everyday it gets easier, today I am good, still lil sore sometimes but besides that no complaints, I go back to doctors tomorrow

Thankfully I was only on armour thyroid... I'm still on that though and probably will be, as I've always had thyroid problems.

I had a REALLLLLY hard time the first week. Horrible head cravings, moodiness, despair, regret - it was a veritable rollercoaster of emotions. I went back to work after 1 week off and once I did, I got a little better. It gave me something to keep my head occupied. I'm losing around 1 lb/day, which is AWESOME. I know it won't be that way forever, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts. :) Per doctors orders, I'm still on full liquids. I have a nutrition class Weds and will then go on to pureed for 2 weeks, then finally soft diet in time for Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to a tbsp of mashed potatoes. :D

I have a goal weight for myself of 150, because that puts me in a BMI in the normal range; however, I will be excited to just hit onederland. I don't think I was even 150 in high school... but if I can get there, that is uncharted territory!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
