Thanks for this post. I was sleeved Oct.4 I'm 5'1 and was 224 day of surgery. Today I'm 199.6 a complete slow loser. I stalled for 3 weeks. I don't go over 800 calories a day. I'm so scared I won't reach my goal I have 98lbs to lose. Best if of luck to you.

Hey. I was sleeved on oct 21st, 10 days ago. I'm also 5'1 and my surgery weight was 224. I'm now 210. :)

I'm 5'8" and was 370 day of surgery on 7/15 (had already lost 9 lbs on pre-op diet)

In first three months I'm down another 41 lbs. I focus on Protein and Water and my calories fluctuate. I tend to lose better when I'm able to get in more calories (between 900 and 1100) but that's just me. I think each body is different and has its own settings.

I feel like I am a very slow loser. I was sleeved on 9/16 and have only lost 18 pounds. It is very discouraging. I am getting in 65-80 grams of Protein per day and averaging about 750 calories (at the very most). I was hoping to lose 30 pounds by Christmas but I just don't see it happening. Some days I think that I'll never make goal. I'm 5'6 and weighed 239 on the day of surgery. I should mention that I had a stall for 2.5 weeks that started on week 3 post-op.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
