I would love any information you or anyone else on this thread has about PS in MX. Thank you!

Is it really worth it to go all the way to Mexico to get plastic surgery? I mean with the cost of surgery and travel expenses. Do u have to travel to get a consolidation and then again for surgery? How does that work. I researched a surgeon in Monterey but I'm not sure if I would go that route. I have so many questions.

I wouldn't mind going to Monterrey but Tijuana is just to far for me. I live in Texas

I went to TJ for my PS. I live in Texas also. I was in the air only 2.5 hours on the plane to San Diego. It was well worth it for me.

I had my VGS in Tijuana but am going to Monterry for plastics. I am not having it done until 20 Feb but just keep reading and researching to make sure I am getting it right. I took the advice if a few and cowgirl Jane and am having it all done at once like she did. I don't know if I could keep going over and over again like lots if them want. And yes even with flights it is much cheaper going to Mexico. I'll let you all know how I make out when it's my turn. Until then all if you who are just having it done it going before me all the best to you all.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
