Ok went to the doc on 10/23/13, and got my 4th fill. Last fill was 4/24/13. I went from a 8.4cc to a 9.4cc in a 14cc band. And yes I'm restricted. I just started back exercising 4 days a week/1hr a day after my 2 month hiatus/off and on working out.

So im super restricted and I experienced my first real food issue. Oh goodness I thought I was gonna pass out. So hopefully this is my lucky number. My trainer recommended her acupuncture doc to help me. What do you guys think?

What can this acupuncture doc can do for me?

Why would you need an acupuncturist?

There are pressure points that can help stimulate your metabolism, and also can help with any hunger and craving issues.

It's not a bad thing, they can help you to relax and help with any aches and pains you might have in the body after working out.

Give it a go and let us know how your doing if you love it or can leave it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
