A few days later

Had my surgery on the 24th. My tummy is grumbling and I keep needing to cough but it hurts. I'm using the heating pad and walking

    It sucks but it's really important you cough. Otherwise, you run a risk of post operative pneumonia.

    Keep a firm pillow (or even stuffed animal) nearby and when you cough, hug it tight against your tummy so it won't hurt so much.
