I was 11/27..... So hard to stay on plan for me

It's hard for me too. But I keep thinking I can't risk hurting myself or stretching anything. TJ is op far away lol... So ill suck it up and keep going (insert tantrum and feeling sorry for myself here lol) in another couple months this will all be a distant memory lol. So how are you doing then? Are you eating mushies?

hey Bos123. How are you doing? im only down 22 lbs. (banded 11/27). I really wanted to hit 30 by first week of January. The weight loss has seemed to slow down. I have eaten a few things i shouldn't have. But I never overate. So hopefully my stomach is ok. Hope you are doing well.

Thanks stiff! Thing are going really well! My date was dec 3, and I've lost 23 PDs... Granted I was sick for three weeks... A bad chest cold/ strep throat! Unreal hey... So cold up here stupid weather! Anyways Monday will be four weeks and I've started soft food. Had a stall for almost two weeks but started the food am lost four pounds. So I think now that my cold is getting better ( minus the crazy coughing) I am excited for the new year to come, get some energy back and start excersizing. My clothes fit better, I'm gonna take my measurements again Monday...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
