Almost 4 month Sleeve Plication Surgery update

Recommended Posts

Just a quick update.

I've lost about 42 pounds in about 15 weeks. I feel like I eat pretty normally now. It was our anniversary this weekend and we celebrated this entire weekend. We went out to Breakfast Saturday and out to dinner that night as well. On Sunday I ate about 3 oz. of yogurt for breakfast then we went out for a delicious lunch at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants with our family. Last night I ate about 1/3 of a turkey burger and about 3 french fries and 1 onion ring. I made sure that I walked everyday and I took my kids to the park - that was my only exercise, no gym. This morning I got on the scale and had lost 1 pound over the weekend!! I don't plan on eating like this every weekend but it was nice to know that I can - once in a while!! I'm almost into size 18s and will be out of my size 20s in about 5-7 pounds. I'm getting more focused this week on my food choices and making sure that I exercise almost everyday.

take care of you!

Yes, its nice to know we can eat "Normally" once in a while. I would be terrible if we felt deprived all the time.

Thanks everyone. I've been in a stall for about 2 weeks now but I have lost inches so something positive is happening with my body.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
